RE: Highway Fatalities - drivers with illness

Troubling article, although I'm not sure what sleep apnea in the last two or so paragraphs has to do with crossing the median? Perhaps they meant narcolepsy? When you have sleep apnea you will fall asleep at the wheel, The wife woke me up twice as I was going off the road. Then I decided it was time to do the sleep study and then get a Bi-pap machine. Now I sleep at night and fully rested I have sleep apnea, have for years, and have never fallen asleep at the wheel (and don't use a CPAP). Why? Because I don't drive when I'm sleepy or tired. ANYONE can fall asleep at the wheel when driving when tired whether they have sleep apnea or not. Thus I don't see why it is significant. Narcolepsy is when (as I understand it) you suddenly fall asleep, tired or not! THAT would be something worth mentioning in the article (as a possible cause of an accident) and should be enough to prevent you from getting a DL, let alone a CDL! Anyway, this is somewhat off-topic so I'll just leave it at that.

RE: Galley slide doesn't work

There are usually 'safety' switches on the baggage doors under the slide such that slides will not operate if the doors are open. You might check for a faulty switch.

RE: MI- Family Camping rally, Memorial Day '09

We normally spend Memorial Day weekend at Cedar Point, however, I'll put this on our calendar so it's there when we start planning next year's events. When are you coming back to Cedar Point? We still have 4 trips planned for CP this year--and at least one of them has the possibility of having extra tickets available...

RE: The Gathering at Gettysburg May 14th-17th, 2009

Does Cedar Point have wifi? YES! (But only if you're parked near us or LarryCad...) We have 4 more trips to CP planned for this year: 8/29-9/1, 10/10-12, 10/31-11/2, and the last one is 9/19-21 but will probably get changed.

RE: Aug. 8, 9, 10-3rd Battle of Mohican Rump Bumpin Ohio Rally

The w/e of the 22nd is open for us, too. I checked the KI website, and I don't think they have electric ones. Maybe I could just wear roller skates? BTW, I have to do whatever Cindy says, now. She pulled a knife on me today and drew blood....I think she's serious! :B

RE: Weight Police: Does this look right to you?

If the hitch is rated at 10K, it likely has a 1K tongue weight rating. If the golf cart weighs less than, say 750# (which it likely does), then there should not be a problem. I'm saying 750# since the center of gravity of the cart plus the lift is behind where the "ball" would be, and thus increases the actual tongue weight. There is a "math" section on (at least one of )the websites that sells the lifts which helps potential buyers determine the 'safety' of their propsed set-up. The Vectra also may have a side radiator.

RE: Aug. 8, 9, 10-3rd Battle of Mohican Rump Bumpin Ohio Rally

We're going to celebrate it fishing and doing whatever else Roger wants to do. Anyone interested in joining us, there are several great campgrounds close by. After all, you only turn 50 once. :B:W:R We're heading to the lake the weekend of Aug 1st, then Rump Bump Aug 7th, and then, possibly :B, Kings Island Aug 15th.

RE: Aug. 8, 9, 10-3rd Battle of Mohican Rump Bumpin Ohio Rally

I'm thinking Aug 15-17 for Kings Island. That would be the weekend right after rump-bump. Anyone interested in another perch fish fry this year? The fishing boat is in the water and running great! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to Duane, Todd, Larry, and Steve for all your assistance in preparing the boat for launch. We would not have been able to launch without your help. Only had one problem: Cindy didn't lower the VHF antenna and it was attacked and snapped off by the hose hanger as we backed out of the slip last Saturday. It's Cindy's fault because I, as Captain, NEVER do anything wrong! :B Anyone interested in helping out with the 'catching' of the main course, PM or eMail us!

RE: Sirius radio install

I went to the hardware store and bought an angle bracket and bolted it to the aluminum frame behind and above the front TV (inside). The antenna magnet sticks just fine to the angle bracket and we've had no problems!

RE: converter, how does it work

A converter only supplies 12 volts DC. An inverter supplies the 120 AC necessary for TV operation.
